In the 66 kg category in the All India Classic Powerlifting Championship being held today at Chandrapur, Maharashtra. Satish Kharvi of Kundapur has created a new record in dead lift. Represented in the Karnataka team, he has won 4 gold medals. And he set a new record by lifting 220 kg in the dead lift, erasing his own previous record of 217.5 kg. India will be represented by the team at the Commonwealth Powerlifting Competition to be held in New Zealand on November 24. Satish Kharvi, who achieved all these achievements, was felicitated by senior and junior athletes from All India Konkani Kharvi Samaj, Kundapur Konkani Samaj, King Fisher Sports Club Kharvikeri and Hercules Gym.
